Description

It's a Small World is a river raft ride designed to show the nations of the world. A catchy tune completes the ride.

Entrance

The entrance to It's a Small World is in the FantasyLand section of the Magic Kingdom, across from the entrance to Peter Pan's Flight. There is only one line for this ride.

Line

As there is only one line for this ride, entry is straightforward. The line twists as usual, eventually descending into the boarding area. Boarding is a cross boat affair, with the people leaving the ride getting out on one side while those getting onto the ride board from the other.

Riding the Ride

There is no trouble riding this ride, and there are also boats available for those in wheelchairs. The ride takes you on a river journey through different representations of countries of the world, where puppets dressed up in the different countries and regions of the world sing the song "It's a Small World" over and over in different languages.

Exiting the Ride

You exit the ride at the same place that you enter the ride, and then make your way out through a back path that eventually leads to the front entrance of the ride.

Opinion

This ride is well known for its catchy tune that kids learn to love. Unfortunately, it is this same tune that tends to drive adults up the wall. Work that was done in 2006 seems to have reduced this problem somewhat, as the only thing you hear while waiting in line is the tune of the song, and not the actual words. Once you are on the ride and you enter the first area, you hear the actual words.
