New page

== Description ==

Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress is a ride that was designed for the 1964 World's Fair. It goes through a number of decades from the 20th century, showing how we have progressed through technology since the turn of the century using animatronic characters.

== Entrance ==

The entrance is located next to the [[Galaxy Palace Theatre]], and also very often has a couple of characters in costume located near it signing autographs for children off to the right hand side of the entrance.

== Line ==

The line for this ride is very simple, and is just a staging area while you wait for the next theatre to swing around and allow you to load into it. There is only one line, and no [[FastPass]] is available.

== Riding the Ride ==

This is pretty simple. You enter the ride and sit down in a large theatre. Once the ride actually begins, a presentation is made concerning when the ride was first developed, why it was developed, and what has been done to it over the past forty years. It then starts to rotate to the right. There are six different theatres in this ride, with the hub of the carousel acting as the different stages. The first stage is the one in which you get the greeting, then in order you get presentations on the level of technology in 1900, 1920, 1940, and today. The final stage is where you exit the ride, after a farewell message.

== Exiting the Ride ==

You exit the ride out the back right hand side of the theatre, and the exit there is right next to where you entered the ride.

== Opinion ==

One of my favorite rides, simply because it is obvious that Walt Disney had a personal touch in developing the ride and the animatronics used in it. Sure, the song is a bit irritating after a while, and the humor is certainly antiquated now, but there is a certain level of charm in this ride that is not matched anywhere else.
