Entrance

The initial entrance to this show is through what really appears to be a side door to a sound-stage. There is a waiting line out the side as well. On the frontage of the show, there is a place that has a backdrop of the snow carpeted forests of Narnia. This is a perfect place to take a picture if you want one. From time to time fake snow will start falling from the roof line to give an even stronger effect to the snow.

Once inside the building, you stand in a staging area until dramatic music starts to play, at which point the doors to a wardrobe on one wall open automatically. This is the real entrance to the show.

The Show

Once inside, the first thing that is noticeable is the fogginess of the air as you walk into a mock-up of the set that was used in the movie. Snow-laden trees line the path you walk down until you reach another staging area where a movie screen has been setup on one wall. More music fills the air and a voice-over starts talking about the movie and the basic plot behind it.

The white witch then appears on a balcony over-looking the scene, and begins to talk to the audience about their trespassing, etc. This is a live-action appearance, and is really well done. After this the screen shows a basic synopsis of the movie, and when it is done you exit through a room which has artifacts from the movie, including the witch's wand, her sleigh, and some of the weapons used in the show.

Experiences

The show as above is just what it seems. One thing was that the witch's wand was not there this time around as a sign stated that it was out to be worked on and conserved. I also just found out that a second movie is currently being made about the genre, concerning Prince Caspian. As such, I have to wonder whether any of the props that are being displayed will be used again, or if new props will be made in replacement of these.
