Koosh
The Game
One person is in the middle of a circle and must plant one foot. They cannot move that foot until they are eliminated. This person is the target. They have four lives. If a koosh ball hits them below the head level they lose a life. If they catch the ball or the ball hits them in the head (at head level) the thrower loses a life. The target may not throw balls at anyone.
A second person is called the guardian and their job is to defend the target and eliminate other players. If they catch a ball the thrower loses a life. If they hit someone below the head and they do not catch it they also lose a life.
Everyone else stands in a big circle around the target. They can move around the circle but cannot go into it. They all have one life each. Their goal is to eliminate the target.
Only koosh balls that are thrown under hand, hit below the head level, and are accompanied by a vocal call count. You can not be closer than five feet when you throw the ball and all balls held for more than three seconds are considered dead regardless of who has them.
If a koosh ball hits the ground it is considered dead and no one but the guardian may use it to get someone out. It can be passed to a live player to make it a live ball, however.
Once a target is eliminated, he joins the circle, the guardian becomes the new target and the player that took the target's last life is the new guardian. Anyone in the circle who was eliminated is alive again.
If anyone on the circle is eliminated they simply sit down and wait until the round is over and a new target is found.
In the odd case that there is only one person left in the outer circle, they automatically become the guardian and the target is considered eliminated (known as the last man standing rule).
